FINGERPRINT IDENTIFICATION: FLAT, CAVO OR NORMAL
This exercise helps us identify a flat or cavus foot in children and thus prevent possible complications in the structure of the foot.
Children have to have a normal adult footprint to the 7 years old.
The exercise consists of:
We use paint and paper.

Next we ask the child to put his foot in the container and gently move it through the paint, in this way we will make the entire foot full of paint.

We ask the child to carefully place his foot on top of the paper, we will ensure that he places the front part first and progressively drops the back part.

This is the print we get.

We show the child the various options there are.

The child manages to identify his foot print with that of a normal foot.

HELBING LINE TYPE: VALGO, VARUS OR NEUTRAL
It is an exercise whose objective is to know if the child has a valgus, varus or neutral foot.
The exercise consists of:
We help the child paint Helbing's line (Achilles tendon line) with paint. Next we take a photograph of the painted line, this way the child will be able to see it and thus be able to classify it and identify his or hers with the type it is.
If the line has an angle greater than 5º towards the inner part between the legs: FOOT VALGUUS
If the line is directed towards the outside of the leg: VARUUS FOOT
If the line is perpendicular to the ground: NEUTRAL FOOT
