Custom shoe insoles

Plantar supports that are placed inside the shoe

Orthopedic treatment must always be applied individually, and in a personalized way. Each patient requires precise manipulations appropriate to the dysfunction or pathology of his foot or gait.

Our Podomedic Centers have their own ortho-podiatric workshop directed by Montserrat Castells, a podiatrist-orthopedist with more than 45 years of experience.

It is the part of podiatry that aims to research, prevent, understand, treat and rehabilitate diseases and abnormalities of the musculoskeletal system of the foot.

Currently, the insole is not only used to treat congenital or acquired deformities of the foot, but it can also be used for prophylactic purposes, the adaptation period of the patient being very fast.
In Podomédic Centers we have the most advanced technology for making personalized templates. We use 3D technology that allows us to design the insole with great precision to treat any foot pathology.
The advances that have occurred in the field of biomechanics have allowed a great evolution in the conception of orthopedic insoles. The best knowledge of materials has made it possible to combine efficiency and lightness. With less weight and volume, the plantar supports fulfill their function of stabilizing the foot correctly.
Likewise, having the parameters digitized allows us to duplicate the treatment and thus have a replica of the initial treatment.

  • Improve the overall function of the biomechanics of the foot and limb
  • Prevent or slow the development of foot deformities
  • Provide better support
  • Reduce the pain of certain pathologies
  • Help prevent lower limb injuries
  • Accelerate rehabilitation after injury
  1. It is advisable to wear shoes that have cushioning and good heel support
  2. Insoles usually require an adaptation process, but they should never cause pain or discomfort when wearing them
  3. It is important to check its capacity and stability in footwear. On some occasions, the original insoles of the shoes have to be removed, to allow a good capacity and stability of the orthopedic insoles within it

He started his career in Sant Feliu de Guíxols In 1979, in the consultation of my great -grandfather, a rural doctor of great prestige, Martí Casals.
In 1980 he opened another consultation in Barcelona, he collaborated with Dr. Ramón Vilat, worked in the US… ..
