In our Podomedic Centers we have incorporated another diagnostic tool, the ultrasound scanner. Graphically we could say that it works as "an eye towards the interior of the human body".

Thanks to the ultrasound we can assess from the first moment the state of the damaged structure, monitor the healing process and assess whether the treatment designed individually for each patient is being effective.

Ultrasound allows us explore various structures of the musculoskeletal apparatus, such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, bursae (cavities filled with fluid), cartilage and bone surfaces.

In addition, another of the attributes of the ultrasound machine is that it makes it possible establish a protocol acting and follow-up to assess the evolution of an injury.

And it is also useful for perform ultrasound-guided infiltrations. This means being able to inject the desired substance at the exact point where we want to act, so we make sure to act in the concerned area.

Soy Aurora Casals Lluch, Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of Barcelona and a proud representative of the third generation of my family's podiatrists.
It all started with my grandmother, Montserrat Castells Nat, passionate about knowledge and pioneer in its time. After obtaining all the diplomatures offered by the University of Barcelona, studied Podiatry (1975–1979) and in 1983 also qualified as an Orthopedic Technician. He started his career in Sant Feliu de Guíxols In 1979, in the consultation of my great -grandfather, a rural doctor of great prestige, Martí Casals.
In 1980 he opened another consultation in Barcelona, he collaborated with Dr. Ramón Vilat, worked in the US… ..
