QPI
Although they are benign calluses, they are persistent and painful and can become disabling for those who suffer from them. In our Podomedic Centers we offer you treatments that allow you to improve your quality of life.
The QPI are painful, deep, and chronic cherathopathies. They are frequent, benign, and very persistent corns, developing under a bone prominence corresponding to the head of the metatarsal or at the base of the first proximal phalanx of the first toe.

Although we are aware of the difficulty of knowing the exact moment of the onset of injury, we consider that a heloma is over five years old when it does not respond to any conservative treatment.
Aunque desconoce
Although we do not know the precise mechanism that causes the emergence of the QPI, we know that their hyperkeratotic tissue develops in response to mechanical stress. These biomechanical alterations of the foot produce excessive and chronic mechanical tensions in metatarsal heads.

The lesion consists of a dense, mother-of-pearl colored keratinized material that, over time, invaginates into the skin of the sole of the foot and progressively becomes more painful.
The treatment of choice in Podomedic Center for QPI is aimed at minimizing the extent of the injury and achieving the decrease in pain that it produces.

This is achieved through three actions:
- We recommend the use of templates to reduce hyperpression in the head of the metatarsal, which is the place where callosity appears (QPI).
- LASER application with the aim of decreasing silence, inflammation and pain. For treatment to be effective, a monthly session is required for three months.

- Tips for the choice of suitable footwear.
